How the calculator works

  • HighLevel cost is each unit times HighLevel's published rate for the client's country. US carrier fees and A2P fees include HighLevel's fixed 5% pass-through markup (pass-through markup).
  • Client charge is that cost times the multiplier your plan allows. The WhatsApp subscription is the price you set instead.
  • Margin is the client charge minus HighLevel's cost and the card fees on what the client pays you.

Sources: the HighLevel Pricing Guide (rebilling by plan), phone rebilling and email rebilling (the fixed 1.05x on $297), and Rebilling, Reselling, and Wallets Explained. Phone rebilling on $297 works only with HighLevel's own Phone System, not Twilio, and email rebilling on $297 only with LC Email. The client needs a card on file.

US and Canada: Phone System Pricing & Billing Guide, including its 10% discount and the $0.004 client-minutes leg. UK and Australia: list rates from the guide's attached numbers, messaging and voice rate files; forwarded calls there are the inbound rate plus the outbound rate to a mobile. WhatsApp: WhatsApp Pricing guide, plus its 5% Stripe fee.

  • US carrier fees per segment, out / in: All other carriers $0.0042 / $0.01; AT&T $0.0035 / $0.0035; T-Mobile $0.0045 / $0.0025; Verizon $0.005 / $0.007; US Cellular $0.005 / $0.01. The guide publishes no carrier fees for Canada.
  • Call recording $0.0025 a minute. LC Email $0.675 per 1,000; verification $2.50 per 1,000 (What is LC Email?). WhatsApp $10 a month per enabled sub-account.

How I would use it

  1. Start from last month's real usage. Agency View, then Settings, then Billing, then Wallet & Transactions shows every charge by sub-account. Copy the counts in rather than guessing.
  2. Check the break-even multiplier. On Founder, the result shows the lowest multiplier that covers card fees. Anything below that loses money on every top-up.
  3. Compare plans on usage alone. Switch the plan between $297 and $497 with the same usage. If the extra margin across all clients is less than the $200 plan difference, the markup alone does not pay for Founder.

What the calculator leaves out

  • MMS, RCS, Verified Caller ID, Number Intelligence, transcription and other extra voice charges.
  • One-time A2P registration fees (listed in the A2P registration checklist), and WhatsApp service messages past the free 1,000 per number each month.
  • AI usage, taxes, refunds and currency conversion. Every country is priced in US dollars, as HighLevel publishes it.

Estimates, not guarantees. This is arithmetic on HighLevel's published rates and the usage you enter. Your wallet shows the real charges. Confirm rates on your account's Pricing page before you quote a client.

Where HighLevel's pages disagree

  • The HighLevel pricing page names the $497 plan "Founder" on its plan card but still calls it "Pro" and "Agency Pro" in its FAQ and add-ons text. The Help Center calls it the Founder plan. (source)
  • On the $297 plan, the Pricing Guide says rebilling without markup charges sub-accounts "the same price HighLevel charges the agency". The phone and email rebilling articles say $297 rebilling uses a fixed 1.05x (5%) markup to cover Stripe charges. The calculator uses 1.05x on $297 because that is the setting those articles describe. (source)
  • The 5% pass-through markup on carrier and A2P fees: the markup article says it applies whether or not rebilling is enabled, and so does one line of the Phone System guide, but another line of the guide says "only when re-billing is enabled". The calculator always adds it, which is the higher reading. (source)
  • The WhatsApp guide says a 5% Stripe fee is added to its message rates. A HighLevel changelog post (not the Help Center) says that fee was removed on 1 October 2026. The calculator follows the Help Center and adds it. (source)
  • The WhatsApp rate table is labelled "through 30 Sep 2026" for markets with an October rate change. Australia falls under "Rest of Asia Pacific", which is marked as changing on 1 October 2026, so the calculator shows no WhatsApp message rate for Australia. Service messages became billable on 1 October 2026 after the first 1,000 per number each month, but the guide does not print their rate, so they are left out. (source)
  • The Phone System guide says inbound calls to US toll-free numbers cost "$0.0198/ minute (a 10% discount from Twilio's $0.22/min rate)". 10% off $0.022 is $0.0198, so $0.22 looks like a typo. The calculator prices inbound minutes at the local-number rate. (source)

FAQ

How much does an SMS cost in HighLevel?

In the US and Canada, HighLevel's Phone System charges $0.00747 per SMS segment, outbound or inbound, after a 10% discount on the $0.0083 list price. US messages also carry a carrier fee that depends on the recipient's carrier, from $0.0035 to $0.0050 per outbound segment, plus HighLevel's fixed 5% markup on carrier fees.

How much do calls cost in HighLevel?

US and Canada outbound calls cost $0.0166 a minute and inbound calls answered in HighLevel cost $0.01165 a minute, both including the $0.004 client-minutes leg. Forwarding an inbound call to another US number costs about $0.02 a minute, because both legs are billed. Calls are billed in full minutes.

Can I mark up SMS, calls and email for my clients?

Only on the $497 Founder plan. HighLevel says rebilling with a markup is only available on the $497 plan. On the $297 Unlimited plan you can rebill at cost, which HighLevel sets at a fixed 1.05x to cover Stripe charges. On the $97 Starter plan there is no rebilling, so usage stays on your Agency Wallet.

What multiplier should I use on the Founder plan?

That is your pricing decision. HighLevel's default multiplier is 1.05x and it does not publish a maximum. The calculator shows the lowest multiplier that covers your card fees, so you can see where the margin starts.

How much does LC Email cost?

LC Email costs $0.675 per 1,000 emails on every plan. Incoming, outgoing, forwarded, CC and BCC emails are all charged. Email verification is $2.50 per 1,000 checks.

How much does WhatsApp cost in HighLevel?

HighLevel charges the agency $10 a month for each WhatsApp-enabled sub-account, plus per-message rates for template messages that depend on the country and category. In the US and Canada the guide lists $0.0263 per marketing message and $0.0036 per utility message, and says a 5% Stripe fee is added.

Which countries does the calculator cover?

The US and Canada use the rates printed in HighLevel's Phone System guide. The UK and Australia use the list rates from the rate files attached to the same guide. Those files have no 10% discount and the guide does not say whether the client-minutes leg applies, so UK and Australia call costs may be slightly higher in practice.
