HighLevel Founder Plan Explained: What Changed From Agency Pro, Price, and Who Gets It

The short version

The Founder Plan is HighLevel’s $497/month Agency Pro plan with a new name, the same price, and a set of new Founder-only features and perks. If you already pay $497, you are already on it. Some of the new features are live and some are still rolling out. Sources: HighLevel help article and founder.gohighlevel.com.

What the Founder Plan actually is

At LevelUp in Dallas this October, HighLevel renamed its top agency plan. The official help article puts it plainly: “The HighLevel Founder Plan is the new name for the $497/month Agency Pro Plan.” It keeps everything Agency Pro had, plus everything in the $97 and $297 plans, and adds new tools and perks.

So this is not a fourth tier. The help center pricing guide now lists three plans: Starter, Unlimited and Founder.

I’ve seen a lot of posts in the official Facebook group asking whether Founder is “the same as SaaS.” It is. A HighLevel team member answered that directly: Founder is the new name for the $497 Agency Pro (SaaS Pro) plan, with additional features at the same price.

Price

HighLevel offers a 14-day free trial on Founder. The Founder landing page shows $497 per month, and the pricing page lists the annual option at $4,970 per year.

Usage is still billed on top. The pricing page marks phone, SMS, email and several AI products with “Usage based charges apply,” and the pricing guide explains that these are paid through your Agency Wallet. Founder does not change that.

What is Founder-only

The landing page lists these as “Exclusive features only available in the Founder plan”:

  • HighLevel Industries (for example Reservations, Menu Creator and Order Management for restaurants, and Job Creation, Field Management and Job Routing for home services)
  • Custom Navs
  • Events
  • Workflow Maps
  • Project Management
  • SaaS Mode
  • User Reports
  • Rebilling With Markup
  • Advanced API access
  • Ticketing
  • Meeting Rooms
  • Loyalty and Rewards
  • A2P Console
  • Custom Onboarding (Launchpads)
  • Email Health Console

Some of these were already part of the $497 plan before, like SaaS Mode and rebilling with markup. The pricing guide confirms that rebilling with markup “is available on the $497/mo Founder Plan and is part of SAAS mode,” while the $297 plan can rebill at cost only.

The same page also lists Founder-only perks:

  • Payment Commissions on payments made through HighLevel’s new native payment provider
  • AdFuel Program, described as free ads promoting the Founder’s business in their local market
  • Headquarter Hangouts in Dallas and Dubai
  • HighLevel Partner Network access
  • Discounted event tickets, including LevelUp
  • The Founders Club online community
  • A Founder Support Plan, described as a new dedicated support tier

The AI part of Founder

HighLevel says “AI assistants are free on every HighLevel plan” and that “the Founder Plan includes access to advanced AI models and the highest usage limits” (help article). The AI pricing article adds that the $497 plan includes access to advanced Creator Studio models.

Two AI items are tied to Founder specifically:

  1. The new AI Employee Starter plan, $20/month per sub-account, is “available exclusively to agencies subscribed to HighLevel’s $497 Founder plan” (help article).
  2. Rebilling AI Employee usage to clients needs the $497 plan (AI pricing article).

AI agents like Conversation AI and Voice AI are still paid on every plan. I cover that in detail in the free AI guide.

Existing customers and new customers

From the help article FAQ:

  • Existing $497 Agency Pro customers “automatically transition to the Founder Plan. No additional action is required.”
  • The plan is “available to both new and existing HighLevel customers at $497/month.”
  • It includes unlimited sub-accounts and advanced API access.
  • If you downgrade, “you lose access to features exclusive to that plan” (help article).

To upgrade from $97 or $297, HighLevel’s steps are: Agency Settings, then Billing, then “Want to Modify/Cancel Subscription?”, then Upgrade Your Plan, choose monthly or annual, select Founder Plan and confirm. The pricing page FAQ says a mid-month upgrade charges only the prorated difference.

What is still rolling out

HighLevel is open about this. The landing page FAQ answers “Are all Founder Plan features available immediately?” with “Some features are available now, with even more on the way!” When I checked the page on 30 October, Custom Onboarding (Launchpads) and Email Health Console were marked Coming Soon.

In the official Facebook group, the most common complaint this week is “I’m on $497 and I can’t see it.” In one Project Management thread, members on the $497 plan said the feature was not showing yet, and one member said support told them it is in private beta and rolling out slowly. That is a member report, not an official statement, but it matches HighLevel’s own “more on the way” wording.

The Partner Network has a date. HighLevel says it plans to start matching businesses with qualified Partners on January 1, 2027, and that being recommended “does not guarantee a new client” (Partner Network article). To qualify you need an active Founder Plan, three exams (Builder, Advisor, AI Implementation) unless an exemption applies, and an onboarding call.

Who Founder makes sense for, by use case

I’m not going to tell you what to spend. Here is how the official feature list maps to common setups, so you can decide.

You resell HighLevel as your own software. SaaS Mode and rebilling with markup are Founder-only per the pricing guide. If that is your model, you already needed this plan before the rename.

You want to mark up AI usage for clients. AI Employee rebilling needs the $497 plan, and the $20 AI Employee Starter plan for sub-accounts is Founder-only (AI pricing article).

You serve restaurants or home services. HighLevel says its industry solutions are exclusive to Founder (landing page). Check what is live in your Labs before you build an offer around it, because some parts are still rolling out.

You run an internal team inside HighLevel. Project Management, Meeting Rooms, Ticketing and User Reports are on the Founder-only list (landing page). A HighLevel team member confirmed Meeting Rooms is Founder-only in the official community.

You manage lots of client SMS. A2P Console is on the Founder-only list. If A2P registrations across many sub-accounts take up your week, that one is worth a look.

You need the API to create sub-accounts or load snapshots. Advanced API access is on the Founder-only list (landing page). The plan comparison image in the pricing guide lists OAuth 2.0, create and update location, load snapshot, user management and get all snapshots under Advanced API.

If none of these apply, and you mainly need unlimited sub-accounts and white-label, the $297 plan still covers that per the Founder landing page plan cards. I compare the two side by side in the Founder vs Unlimited guide.

Not sure Founder is the plan you need? I built a plan quiz on AgencyGrowth Kit, my other site. It asks about sub-accounts, SaaS mode, rebilling, API access, AI and budget, then names the cheapest plan that covers your answers and links each reason to the Help Center. AgencyGrowth Kit carries my affiliate link too, so I’m saying that up front.

What HighLevel has not said yet

These are the gaps I could not find in any official HighLevel page as of 30 October:

  • Payment Commissions: no rate, eligibility rules or start date published.
  • AdFuel Program: no eligibility rules, ad budget or start date published.
  • Founder Support Plan: no details on response times or what it includes.
  • The Founders Club: no official launch date. A commenter in the official group said invites would go out next week, but I could not confirm that person is HighLevel staff.
  • “The Most Free AI”: HighLevel says higher plans get increased allowances, but has not published the actual limits per plan.
  • Legacy pricing: nothing beyond “existing $497 customers transition automatically” (help article). If you pay a grandfathered rate, ask support before changing anything.
  • Deadlines or promos: none published. Ignore anyone claiming a Founder discount unless they link to HighLevel.

One small thing to watch: parts of the pricing page FAQ still say “Pro Plan ($497/mo).” That is the same plan. HighLevel has not updated every line yet.

Want to try it? HighLevel’s bootcamp page offers a 30-day free trial plus a free live bootcamp every weekday where they help you set things up. HighLevel notes that communication charges (like SMS and calls) may still apply during the trial. The standard trial on the Founder page is 14 days. Both are my affiliate links, so I earn a commission if you sign up through them, at no extra cost to you.

If 30 days still isn’t enough time to set things up properly, sign up through my link and message me. I’ve helped people get their trial extended, up to 60 days in some cases. It’s personal help from me, not a guaranteed or official HighLevel offer.

FAQ

Is the Founder Plan a new plan or the old $497 plan?

It is the old $497/month Agency Pro plan under a new name, with extra features and perks added. HighLevel's help article says it is 'the new name for the $497/month Agency Pro Plan' and that it comes 'at the same $497/month subscription price.'

I already pay $497. Do I need to do anything?

No. HighLevel says existing customers on the $497/month Agency Pro Plan move to the Founder Plan automatically, with no action needed, and get the new benefits as they become available.

Is Founder the same as the SaaS Pro plan?

Yes, it is the same $497 tier. A HighLevel team member confirmed in the official Facebook community that Founder is the new name for the $497 Agency Pro (SaaS Pro) plan, with additional features at the same price. SaaS Mode is still part of it.

Why can't I see Meeting Rooms or Project Management on the $297 plan?

Both are listed as Founder-only features on founder.gohighlevel.com. A HighLevel team member also confirmed in the official community that turning on the new navigation does not unlock features your plan does not include.

I'm on Founder but a feature is not showing. Is it broken?

Maybe not. HighLevel's own FAQ says some Founder features are available now with more on the way. Members in the official community report that some, like Project Management, are still rolling out in private beta. Check Labs first, then ask support.

Is there a deadline or a launch discount?

HighLevel has not published a deadline, a member cap or a promo price for the Founder Plan on its help article, landing page or pricing page. It is presented as the regular $497 plan with monthly or annual billing.

Where do I get the Founder Plan?

New customers can start a Founder trial from founder.gohighlevel.com. Existing $97 or $297 customers upgrade in Agency Settings, then Billing, then 'Want to Modify/Cancel Subscription?', then Upgrade Your Plan, and pick Founder. Existing $497 customers are already on it.

I upgraded but Industries is not turned on in my sub-accounts. Why?

HighLevel says Industries is exclusive to the Founder Plan and that some Founder features are available now with more on the way. The Restaurants configuration is labelled Private Beta in HighLevel's LevelUp roundup. Members in the official group report it is not switched on for everyone yet. HighLevel has not published a rollout date.

Do I have to join the Partner Network?

No. HighLevel says the Partner Network is optional. You need an active Founder Plan to be eligible, and you have to opt in and pass the qualification steps.
